The “Biblioteca Universitaria Centrale” (“BUC”, designed by RPBW), the new university library of Trento located in the neighborhood of Albere, was inaugurated on November 19th, becoming immediately a significant element for the public identity of the disused former area of Michelin.
The new library can host about 380,000 books, arranged on nearly 10 kilometers of shelves and offers students about 430 stations for studying and consulting volumes.
Manens-Tifs has developed the entire MEP design and fire safety systems of the library and provided assistance during the construction phases.
The library, spread over 7 floors with a total area of about 10,000 m², is part of a larger complex, called Le Albere, always designed by Manens-Tifs.
