Complex projects management: the approach of Manens-Tifs to avoid headache

Daniel Carta, BIM Manager of Manens-Tifs, will take part on the 19th of October as speaker to “Digital&BIM Italia” event, an innovation conference concerning complex projects in the building sector.

The conference will be held at the “Arena Digitalizzazione,  gestione infrastrutture e impianti, geomatica Gis by ACCADUEO e SAIE” in Bolognafiere. This two-day event will focus particularly on the design companies that, because of the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling), are facing an increase of workload and design costs.

Part of these costs is certainly due to initial implementation of personnel, software, standards, etc., but as Daniel Carta says  “there are costs caused by inefficiencies of commission management that are focused, basing on our experience, on the early stages of the process, during the phases of acquisition and planning of the work”.

“It’s very important to define, since the beginning, goals, roles, responsibilities and timing of the work” – says Fabio Viero, Technical Director of Manens-Tifs – “the importance of these “golden rules” is commonly known by the project managers of all the sectors and disciplines. This concept is even more true concerning projects characterized by a particular complexity, because of their extension or duration.”
