New Scientific Campus’s groundbreaking ceremony – University of Turin

Yesterday, on the 8th of July, at the Scientific Campus of Grugliasco, was held the “Città delle Scienze e dell’Ambiente”’s groundbreaking ceremony.

The project, which is the result of an agreement protocol between the University of Turin, Piedmont Region, Metropolitan City, Italian Chamber of Commerce, Polytechnic of Turin and the City of Grugliasco, represents one of the most important investments in university buildings in Italy.

The Campus, which will cover an area of more than 228,600 m² and will have a surface of about 90,000 m², will house teaching departments, research, business incubators and spaces that can also be used by the public.

Manens-Tifs, in charge of all the MEP systems design (BIM based), HSSE activities, acoustics and LEED consultancy, is very proud to be part of this project, which implements the most advanced technologies in terms of energy saving and environmental sustainability with the goal of achieving LEED certification at Gold level.
